Abstract
A conical impact mill has a rotor assembly () in which impact elements () arranged in at least two axially spaced rows provide, or can be adjusted to provide, a grinding gap (a', a″), defined between the impact elements and a right frustoconical grinding surface of the mill housing (), that is not constant in the axial and/or circumferential direction of the rotor assembly. Impact elements can be fixedly or adjustably mounted in the rotor assembly and/or the rows can be mutually adjustable axially to change the grinding gap.
