Abstract

A wireless communication device () and method () for improving a browsing experience. The method () can include: monitoring () a user activity in a wireless communication device; providing () a program that correlates user activity and the need to access the internet; and pre-activating () an internet link, based on the monitored user activity and the program. Advantageously, the pre-activating () feature can decrease the time it takes to complete a wireless network connection, thus minimizing wait time. This feature is particularly useful in low and marginal coverage areas.
