Abstract
At the time of assembly of an optical transmission/reception module, a test variable wavelength light sourcefor outputting a test light signal is connected to a connectorof an optical fiber, and a large-diameter PDmeasures a transmission loss in a light wavelength band limiting filterwhile a rotational position determining unitrotates a fiber ferrule, so that the rotational position determining unitdetermines the rotational position θof the fiber ferrulewhich minimizes the transmission loss in the light wavelength band limiting filter, and aligns the fiber ferruleat the rotational position θ.
