Abstract

A lighting device includes a light source, a light guideprovided adjacent to the light sourceand including a light source light incident surfaceon which light emitted by the light sourceenters and a planar light emission surfacefrom which planar light is emitted, and an optical sheetincluding a planar light incident surfaceon which the planar light enters, and configured to change a traveling direction of the planar light because a light emission side of the optical sheethas a shape in which plural columnar prismsextending in parallel to the light source light incident surfaceare arranged side by side. In each of the prisms, a distal surface has at least different two kinds of inclination angles.
