Abstract
A system for capturing an image of a document includes an input tray () for holding documents (); an input imaging device () that captures an image of a first document in the input tray; wherein the input tray image of the first document is captured as an area image; transmitting the captured input tray image of the first document to an image processor (); and transporting the first document to an output tray.
