Abstract

The invention relates to a pellet press for producing pellets (), there being in the pellet press () at least one die () having a multiplicity of holes () for compressing the biomass (), at least one roll () rolling on the die () and at least one drive device for the die () and/or the roll (). The aim of the invention is to produce a pellet press in which it is possible to eliminate local damage or partial wear of the die with the least possible effort or to make it easier to replace the die with a spare part. The invention consists of at least two die segments (' . . . ) being arranged as the die (), at least one supporting device () being arranged to support the die segments (′ . . . ) with respect to the roll (), and the supporting device () having at least one aperture () for the pellets () emerging from the holes () in the die () to be led through.
