Abstract

A bipolar battery () is constructed by laminating a plurality of bipolar electrodes (), each constituted by a layer-form collector (), a positive electrode active material layer () disposed on one surface of the collector (), and a negative electrode active material layer () disposed on another surface of the collector (), via an electrolyte layer (). A voltage detection terminal () is attached to a peripheral edge portion of the collector (). By disposing a voltage detection terminal () of an adjacent collector () on an opposite side of a second straight line (Da), which passes through a centroid (O) of the collector () and is orthogonal to a first straight line (Da) that connects the voltage detection terminal () to the centroid (O) of the collector (), a state of charge within an identical unit cell () is made even.
