Abstract
The invention relates to a device and to a method for closing containers () having a closure (), particularly a bottle closing machine. Said machine has at least one closing head () displaced in a direction toward a container opening () along a displacement path (H) for applying the closure (). To this end, a prescribed external force (F) is applied to the closing head (). According to the invention, the closing head () comprises an internal force supporting element () supporting the externally applied force (F).
