Abstract
Provided are a light-emitting device and a photovoltaic cell having excellent characteristics. A light-emitting device () includes a cathode (), an anode (), a light-emitting layer () interposed between the cathode () and the anode (), and an electron injection layer () provided between the cathode () and the light-emitting layer () and connected to the cathode (), in which at least one of the anode () and the cathode () contains a conductive material having an aspect ratio of 1.5 or more, and the electron injection layer () contains an organic compound having at least one of an ionic group and a polar group.
