Abstract
An object is to prevent occurrence of an insensitive zone to radiation in parallel arrangement of multiple units. This radiation detecting unitis provided with a PD arrayincluding a plurality of PD elementsarrayed opposite to a scintillatorand output electrode padsarrayed corresponding to the PD elements, integrated circuitsfor processing signals from the PD elements, a flexible substratefor mounting of the PD arrayand integrated circuits, and a radiation shield plateprovided opposite to the PD arraywith the flexible substratein between and formed so that ends thereofare located inside the PD array; the output electrode padshave an array pitch made shorter than that of PD elements; the flexible substrateis folded along the endsat intermediate regions Abetween mounting regions of the PD arrayand integrated circuits, whereby the integrated circuitsare arranged on the opposite side to the PD elementswith the radiation shield platein between.
