Abstract

A control device for a separately excited rotor winding (L) of a synchronous machine is described, which comprises a voltage source () connected to the rotor winding (L) and intended for transmitting electrical energy (E) from a power supply () to the rotor winding (L), in such a way that said rotor winding is caused to rotate by a rotating field on the stator side. According to the invention, the control device furthermore comprises a consumer () connected to the rotor winding (L) and intended for transmitting electrical energy (E) from the rotor winding (L) to the power supply (). Furthermore, a method for controlling a separately excited rotor winding (L) of a synchronous machine is described.
