Abstract
A neck () of an electric guitar () comprises a first wooden neck member (), and a second metal neck member (). The second neck member () is disposed in a state in which strings () span from the nut () of the neck () to a bridge () of a body (), and is partially secured in a plurality of locations to the first neck member () and the body (). The strings () are in a state of tension between two ends of the second neck member (), and good sound quality can be maintained because string vibrations are transmitted to the pickup side with good efficiency via the first neck member (). Since the neck body portion (A) protruding from the body () is reinforced by the second neck member (), the incidence of warping or other forms of deformation in the neck body portion (A) can be prevented.
