Abstract
A patterned gas permeable venting material is affixed within a venting apparatus which has an opening. The venting material forms a liquid tight, gas permeable seal of the opening. The patterned material comprises a PTFE membrane of porosity less than 80% and with a surface indentation of depth greater than 12 microns.
