Abstract

A centrifugal pump () includes an apparatus for the removal of particles, wherein the centrifugal pump includes an impeller (). A fluid () can be conveyed by means of the impeller () through a suction passage () from a suction stub () to a pressure stub (). The impeller () is rotatable in a stator (). A gap () is arranged between the stator () and the impeller (), wherein the gap () opens into a storage space () for particles. The storage space () communicates with the suction passage () via a return line () running through the stator ().
