A sliding bearing includes a center portion and end portions on a bearing surface. Convexo-concave portions are respectively formed in the center portion and the end portions. The average height of the vertexes of convex portionsA in the center portion is set smaller than the average height of the vertexes of convex portionsB in the end portions. The center portion may be formed flat.
