Abstract
There is provided a demultiplexer that receives video data for one of a three-dimensional display and a two-dimensional display. There is also provided an HDMI transmission portion that transmits the video data and display information that pertains to one of the three-dimensional display and the two-dimensional display of the video data to a television receiver through TMDS channels #, #, and #of an HDMI cable. There is also provided a transmission/receiving portion that transmits the display information to the television receiver through a CEC line of the HDMI cable.
