Abstract

An induction heating cooking apparatus includes a magnetic flux-shielding plateto restrain magnetic flux leakage from a heating coiland define a cooling air trunk, through which cooling air from a fanpasses. An infrared sensorfor detecting infrared rays emitted from a cooking containerand a control circuitfor controlling an output of a heating coildepending on an output from the infrared sensorare accommodated within the same space with respect to the magnetic flux-shielding plateto thereby enhance assemblage. Also, the infrared sensoris mainly cooled by cooling air passing through a cooling air trunkto thereby enhance the cooling efficiency of the infrared sensorand conduct correct temperature detection.
