Abstract
A laser emitting sectionA and a laser receiving sectionB for measuring an oxygen concentration are provided on two sides of an inspection area so as to be moved toward and away from a bag-shaped container. Gas-filled chambersprovided on the end faces of the laser emitting sectionA and the laser receiving sectionB are brought into contact with the gas phase portion of the containerto keep a constant thickness of the gas phase portion. A tilting deviceis provided to press the container, which is held by a container holder, from both sides with a container pressing memberand tilts the containerin a vertical plane. When an oxygen concentration is measured, the tilting devicetilts the bag-shaped containerto measure the gas phase portion at the shoulders of the container
