Abstract

Processes comprising: (a) providing a composition comprising at least one silane-terminated polyurethane preploymer prepared by a process comprising: reacting (A) at least one polyether having a number average molecular weight (Mn) of 2000 to 8000 g/mol, and comprising 10 to 30 wt % ethylene oxide units based on all alkylene oxide units in the polyether; with (B) at least one isocyanate and alkoxysilane group-containing compound of the formula (I): wherein each of X, Y, and Z independently represents a C-Calkyl or a C-Calkoxy residue, with the proviso that at least one of X, Y, and Z represents a C-Calkoxy group; and wherein R is an at least bifunctional, organic residue; (b) foaming the composition, and (c) curing the foamed composition in the presence of water; and uses of polyurethane foams prepared thereby.
