Abstract

Setting instrument () for a hip socket or shoulder socket inlay, having a handle part () and a suction element () that can be brought into sealing contact with the joint surface. The suction element () comprises a flexible molded part () matched to the joint surface, which molded part is deformable by a pulling element () in such a way that, when applied to the joint surface, an (increased) partial vacuum is formed between the joint surface and the flexible molded part ().
