Abstract
An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for composite and symmetrical hybrid electronic connectors. Embodiments may include a composite electronic connectorhaving a set of signals, being divisible into multiple subconnectors, each having a subset of the signals, a harnessthat combines the subconnectors, distributionof the set of signalsto the subsets of the signals, a symmetrical electronic connector, being connectable in more than one orientation, a tonguewithin the symmetrical connectorhaving more than one contacting surface, each having a set of contacts, mappingof the signalsto the contactsso as to achieve a correct connection independent of the orientation of the symmetrical connector, a cablebetween the composite connectorand the symmetrical connector, and switchingof a power signal-on and off.
