The invention relates to a vacuum pad for use on vacuum drums () of labeling machines for labeling bottles or like containers () with labels (), having a plurality of vacuum openings () provided at least on a partial area () of the vacuum pad () and formed by channels () that can have a vacuum applied thereto in the at least one partial area (), characterized in that the vacuum pad () is manufactured of a transparent material, such as a transparent plastic, at least in the partial area () comprising the vacuum openings and the channels ().
