Abstract

The present invention is directed to a pneumatic tirecomprising at least one pair of parallel annular beads; at least one carcass plywrapped around said beads; a tread; and first and second sidewalls disposed between said tread and one of said at least one pair of beads; as well as a belt portionbetween the carcass plyand the tread. In accordance with the invention, the treadcomprises a tread base layerand a plurality of tread blocks, wherein the tread blockscomprise at least two different rubber layersarranged radially above each other, whereas the rubber layersof different tread blocks are axially separate from each other.
