Abstract

A two part hearing aid includes a base part () to be arranged outside the ear canal of a hearing aid user, the base part including microphone (), signal processor () and a power supply (). The hearing aid also includes an ear plug part () having acoustic transmitter () for transmitting sound into the ear canal, an ear canal microphone (), and an electronic module () connected to said ear canal microphone (). The hearing aid further includes an elongated member () having electrical wires () for connecting the ear plug part () with the base part (), using a serial databus. The invention further provides a method for communicating between two parts of a hearing aid.
