Abstract

An optoelectronic sensor () is provided with a plurality of light transmitters () and light receivers () that form between one another a field () of mutually parallel monitoring beams (), wherein beam shaping optics () are assigned to the light transmitters () and the light receivers (). The optics () comprise a geometry and arrangement leading to a mutual overlap of the optics () in a direction diagonal, in particular perpendicular, to the field ().
