Abstract

Provided is a liquid crystal display device including: a main display region () and a sub display region () for emitting lights of respective different brightness levels; and a liquid crystal display panel () having a display surface () provided which a light guide body (). The light guide body () is a transparent optical member, and has a part covering at least a boundary line () between the main display region () and the sub display region (), when seen in a plan view. Further, the part of the light guide body () covering the boundary line () is formed to have a cross section having a curvature.
