Abstract
A photoelectric conversion element includes a working electrode having a dye-supported metal oxide electrode in which a dye is supported on a metal oxide layer, a compound having a structure represented by the following general formula (1): is used as the dye. wherein R1 to R4 are each independently a linear alkyl group having 4 to 20 carbon atoms and may be the same or different; A1 and A2 are each any one selected from the following aromatic ring group A (a pyrrole ring in the formula (1) is represented by an arc a to show a condensation position with the pyrrole ring), may be the same or different, and may have a substituent in an aromatic ring; Anis a p-valent anion; p is 1 or 2; and q is a coefficient for keeping a charge of the entire dye neutral.<Aromatic Ring Group A>
