Abstract

A sheet feeding machine comprises a housing, a feed section for feeding a plurality of sheetsin a feed direction, and a detecting sectionhaving detectorfor detecting informationprinted on the sheet. The detecting sectioncomprises a support framefor supporting the detector, a guide railmounted on the support frameand extending for guiding the detector, and a guide mechanismarranged between the housingand the support framefor guiding the support frame. The support framecan be accommodated in the housingwhen detecting the informationof the sheet. The support framecan be drawn out of the housingwhen moving the detectoralong the guide rail
