A condensed polycyclic compound which emits green light and which has a high chemical stability and an organic light emitting element including the same are provided. A condensed polycyclic compound represented by the general formula [1] or [2] described in claimis provided. In the formula [1] and [2], Rto Rare independently selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom, a straight or branched alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 22 carbon atoms.
