Abstract
Disclosed is a 4,4'-dicarboxy-2,2′-bipyridine derived tridentate ligand represented by formula (I): wherein definitions of Y, Y, and R are the same as those defined in the specification. Also disclosed are a metal complex containing the aforesaid tridentate ligand and a dye-sensitized solar cell containing the metal complex.
