Abstract
A portable railcar unloading pit includes a pair of opposed steel sidewalls secured to a steel back wall to define an enclosure having an at least partially open top and an open front. A hopper is secured within the enclosure, with the hopper narrowing downwardly from an inlet proximate the top of the enclosure to an outlet. A pair of rail beams is supported over the inlet of the hopper, and a conveyor extends through the open front of the enclosure and is supported beneath the outlet of the hopper.
