Abstract
In a method for managing a directory () stored on at least one server (), the directory () includes entries () arranged in a tree structure. Each entry () includes at least one attribute. An alias entry () includes an attribute pointing to a target entry (). The method includes assigning to an application () an owner role in relation to an alias entry (). An application () is referred to as owner of the alias entry (). The method further includes requesting, by an application (), deletion of the alias entry (), determining if a deletion condition is satisfied, and, if so, deleting the alias entry (). The deletion condition includes that the application () is the only owner of the alias entry (). A controller () for managing a directory (), a server () including a directory (), a system, and a computer program are also disclosed.
