Abstract

A negative-electrode platefor use in a cylindrical cell, intended to be laid over a positive-electrode platewith a separatorinterposed between and rolled to form a cylindrical electrode body, with the positive-electrode plateinside, the electrode body being arranged in a bottomed cylindrical outer canto form the cylindrical cell, comprises a first negative-electrode partwhich is to face the positive-electrode plateon either side, with the separatorbetween, when formed into the electrode body, and a second negative-electrode partwhich is to form the innermost circumference of the electrode bodyand face the positive-electrode plateonly on one side, with the separatorbetween, when formed into the electrode body, the second negative-electrode partbeing lower in negative-electrode active material density than the first negative-electrode part
