Abstract
In a method for producing bristle areas for brushes, in particular toothbrushes, bundles of bristles () are divided off from a bristle supply (), transported by a gas or air stream (Pf) and introduced into perforations () in a central plate (). The bundles of bristles () are removed from the central plate () and transferred to a compactor plate () and, in the process, the density of the bundle of bristles () is increased. In the apparatus for producing bristle areas for brushes, in particular toothbrushes, having a bristle supply () and an apparatus () for removing individual bundles of bristles () from the bristle supply (), and a transport apparatus () for transporting the bundles of bristles () into perforations () in a central plate () by a gas or air stream (Pf), a compactor plate () that has perforations () for receiving bundles of bristles () is arranged downstream of the central plate (), with the cross-sections of the perforations being smaller than the cross-section of the bundle of bristles () supplied to the respective perforation (). An apparatus is provided for forwarding the bundles of bristles () from the central plate () to the compactor plate ().
