Abstract

In a method for operating a fuel supply for a heat engine, in a first step the block valve () and the control valve () are closed, with the vent valve () closed. In a second step, the vent valve () is opened so that fuel volume (V) which is present in the fuel line section (') and vent line (′) can drain. In a third step, the vent valve () is closed. In a fourth step, the control valve () is opened. In a fifth step, the fuel volume (V) is replenished by a pressure-driven backflow of fuel from the combustion process (). In a sixth step, the control valve () is closed and then the vent valve () is opened, for draining of the replenished fuel volume (V) which has been formed there on account of the action taken according to the fifth step.
