Abstract

The invention relates to a method for supporting a driver of a vehicle () in maneuvering the vehicle () on a driving route (), in particular when parking a vehicle () into or out of a parking space (), with the aid of a portable communication device (). At least one vehicle external sensor device () is provided which is arranged stationarily relative to the driving route (). The sensor device () captures data relating to the vehicle () located on the driving route () and wirelessly emits signals () comprising the captured data in such a way that same signals () reach the interior of the vehicle (). The signals () are received through the portable communication device (), and the data are output through the portable communication device (). The invention also relates to a system () as well as a portable communication device ().
