Abstract

A rotating electrical machine () is driven by a three-phase AC current and is provided with a stator core (), a molded resin () for covering a coil wound on the stator core, a rotor core (), a shaft () provided to the rotor core (), a terminal base () provided to a coil end section, and a case () for covering the rotating electrical machine (). Power cables extending from the terminal base () are led out of the case () through a case terminal box (). A temperature sensor () is affixed in a hole in the molded resin () by the terminal base () and measures the temperature in the vicinity of a heat producing source.
