Abstract
The invention relates to a method for the operation of a plaiting machine () that comprises a ring () carrying fiber spools () for plaiting layers () of fibers () about a mandrel () carried by a carrier () capable of movement along the axis (AX) of the ring (), wherein after plaiting the fibers () are cut in order to withdraw the mandrel (), and that comprises: a hub () carried by the carrier () and secured to the mandrel () while being mounted upstream therefrom; an operation for tightening the fibers () around the hub (; IS) with a link () surrounding said fibers () after the mandrel () has passed through the ring (); and in which the fibers () are cut between the mandrel () and the hub () before withdrawing the mandrel ().
