An imaging display device of the present invention comprises an imaging elementphotoelectrically converting an optical image, a readout control unitcontrolling a readout position of the imaging element, an image processing unitprocessing image signal readout from the imaging element, an image display unitdisplaying image signal output from the image processing unit, a pixel shift unitshifting an observation pixel position displayed on the image display unit, a pixel shift control unitcontrolling the pixel shift unit, and a system control unitcontrolling the readout control unitand the pixel shift control unitso that image signal photoelectrically converted by the imaging elementis displayed on the image display unitand shifted by the pixel shift unit According to the present invention, it is possible to reduce delay time from imaging to displaying and to raise spatial resolution and motion resolution.
