Abstract

A display panel () of an electronic matrix display () can have a set of pixel elements (), a matrix of gate lines () and source lines (), and a set of switches (). Pixel elements () can be of at least three different colors arranged in a repeating pattern to form a matrix of horizontal and vertical rows. In each horizontal row, each pixel element () except those on the ends of the horizontal row has two neighboring pixel elements that are a different color than the pixel element () and that are a different color than each other. Each unique intersection point of the gate lines () and source lines () of the matrix can be hardwired to a set of more than one of the pixel elements () of the same color.
