Abstract
Media that are processed to reliably prevent executing a recording operation when media is not set to the recording position can be segregated from other media, and a drop in media processing throughput can be suppressed. When the length in the conveyance direction of the image to be recorded on a check is greater than the length of the recording area determined from the length of the checkin the conveyance direction, the process control unitof a multifunction devicechanges the discharge unit to which the check is discharged and then conveys the next check stored in the storage unit.
