Abstract
A track assemblyfor converting a wheeled vehicleinto a tracked vehicle. The track assemblyhas a longitudinally adjustable support framehaving a motive sourcewith a drive sprocket, a plurality of support rollers, a tensioning assembly, and an endless track. The track assemblyis connected to a vehicleby articulated, resiliently biased mounting assemblies. Each mounting assemblyincludes a first attachment member, a link, and a second attachment member, with the first attachment memberconfigured to be removably attached to a position on a vehiclewhere a wheel axle attached to an internal drive unitwould normally reside but which has been disconnected from its control lines and removed, and with the second attachment memberconfigured to be connected to the support frame. The motive sourceof the track assemblyis connected to and controlled by the same control linesthat were previously connected to the internal drive unit
