Abstract

The device () for checking a tire () reinforcing thread comprises: an induction member () that induces a magnetic flux (P, P; P) in the thread (-), a support () supporting the induction member () having the overall shape of a U and comprising legs () that conduct the magnetic flux (P) into the thread (-), the legs defining a direction of alignment of the device, at least one receiver member () that receives the magnetic flux (P, P; P) flowing through the thread (-) situated between the legs (). The dimensions of the receiver member are designed so as to measure only the magnetic flux flowing through the thread (-) when, in operation, the direction of alignment () is parallel to the thread (-).
