Abstract

The present invention relates to a process for nonoxidatively dehydroaromatizing a reactant stream comprising C-C-aliphatics by converting the reactant stream in the presence of a catalyst in a reaction zoneto a product stream P comprising aromatic hydrocarbons, and regenerating the catalyst whose activity has been reduced by deposited coke with a hydrogen-comprising mixture H in a reaction zone, wherein at least a portion of the deposited coke is converted to methane and at least a portion of the methane formed is fed to reaction zone
