Abstract

Solid-supported gold nanoparticles for use as a catalyst for the synthesis of quinolines from anilines and aldehydes using oxygen as an oxidant are provided. Also provided are a method for the preparation of SiO-supported gold nanoparticles by in situ deposition of gold nanoparticles to silica gel and a method for synthesizing quinolines from anilines and aldehydes using oxygen as an oxidant.
