Abstract

A wheel carrier for a motor vehicle in which the wheel carrier is typically manufactured from aluminum. The wheel carrier comprises a recess () for receiving an outer ring () of a wheel bearing (). An inner ring () of the wheel bearing () is fixed in a hub () of a wheel flange () of a vehicle axle. An axial end of the outer ring () of the wheel bearing () abuts against a shoulder of the wheel carrier (), and a rim section () of the wheel carrier () is at least partially deformed to abut an opposite axial end of the outer ring () of the wheel bearing ().
