Abstract
In a distributed computing system pertaining to the present invention, serverstoconstituting a cell achieve consensus using Paxos and execute a task using predetermined data in accordance with an instruction from a client. The server, which acts as a leader, transmits a data acquisition promotion signal to the serversand, which act as agents. When the serversanddo not store the data therein, they acquire the data and then transmit a data acquisition completion signal to the server. After the serveracquires the data, when it receives the data acquisition completion signal from at least half of the servers constituting the cell, it transmits an execution signal for instructing execution of the task to the serversand. The serversandexecute the task using the data.
