Provided is a vehicle control devicefor supporting deceleration in order to stop a vehicle at a predetermined stop location, the vehicle control deviceincluding energy regeneration amount computation meansfor computing an energy regeneration amount caused by deceleration, and operational timing determination meansfor determining an operational timing in the deceleration based on the energy regeneration amount. It is possible to realize traveling of the vehicle with excellent fuel consumption without degrading the overall energy regeneration amount when the vehicle stops.
