Abstract
Disclosed is a novel marine microorganism which can metabolize 3,6-anhydro-L-galactose and use of the same. The novel marine microorganism belongs tosp. which utilizes 3,6-anhydro-L-galactose (3,6-L-AHG) as a single carbon source to convert 3,6-L-AHG to ribose and 3,6-anhydrogalactonic acid.
