Abstract
A disk brake of a rail vehicle, having a brake caliper, the caliper arms of which are coupled with one end to brake shoes and with the other end to a wear adjuster, the length of the wear adjuster is adjustable by a control mechanism depending on the stroke of a brake force motor. A control rod of the control mechanism acts upon an adjusting element of the wear adjuster, the adjusting element includes a freewheeling mechanism mounted in a housing of the wear adjuster and a stop section of the adjusting element loaded in a self-adjusting starting position against a stop of the housing by at least one return spring element. The stop contains at least one element that is elastic in the direction of abutment.
